"CUP HALF EMPTY"

  This dyptich developed from a series of sketches during a time in my life
  when I was in danger of losing one of my jobs. The gray half on the left
  shows a bleak road, washed out candle flames and the woman of the sea
 amid a dark night sea. The right, in summer colors, depicts mammals of the
earth and sea; it seems more playful and promising. At the center, and
 uniting both canvas', is a conjoined sunflower-eye and white ghost figure.
It is for me to decide whether my cup is half empty or is it half full.
